What is Kinesiology?

Kinesiology is a modality of Natural Therapies. It was developed in the United States of America during the 1960’s by Chiropractors. It has since evolved and developed into a natural therapy in its own right which is frequently taught independently of Chiropractic, and in fact Kinesiology is now amongst the world’s fastest growing natural therapies. It uses a form of muscle testing which allows the practitioner to check for a strong or weak response to access the subconscious mind, and gain answers to physical and meotional issues.
According to Kinesiologists United (www.kinesiologycentral.com/), they describe Kinesiology as follows:
The Mechanics of Muscle Testing: How It's Done
The brain monitors, controls and directs the entire body via the nervous system. Because the nervous system also has a major influence on the state of the muscular system, a kinesiologist is able to determine ceratin aspects about the body by measuring/testing how the muscles are working after issuing a series of challenges - be they verbal or physical.
This is usually done through a simple manual muscle manipulation and testing for the response, in which the subject attempts to resist a force applied against the action of a muscle or group of muscles.
There are several ways this can be performed, but typically, the practitioner has the subject extend an arm or a leg who then tries to hold it in a fixed position, while the kinesiologist tries to move it in some direction. More specific tests can also be conducted to isolate individual muscles for evaluation.
During the test, the kinesiologist assesses any changes in the amount or character of the force that must be applied to overcome the resistance of the subject, which cn sometimes be very subtle.
Anything that has an effect on the body (either positive or negative) can produce a change in the state of the muscles, via the nervous system.
The kinesiologist is generally looking for that which will produce such a change. Various body positions, reflex points, hand modes, nutrients, homeopathics or even verbal suggestions are among the things a kinesiologist might test in this way.
This method of directly testing the body's responses to different stimuli is noninvasive, and can allow a kinesiologist to determine what treatment and therapies will have a positive (or even negative) impact on the health of the client.

In a nutshell, it is a process that assits healing.

Kinesiology Addresses many physical and emotional issues that may be present.

Benefits of Kinesiology are wide and varied. Can assist almost any health condition.
